The buyer wishes to purchase the above-mentioned dog for the following sum of

All BAHK puppies are guaranteed against congenital defects up to two years of age. ( Companion Hunting ) puppies are sold on *AKC Limited Registration (can not be used for breeding), and my Performance puppies are sold with contracts pertaining to the individual buyers goals.

*Limited registration restricts any placement in breed competition shows or breeding. It does allow any and all placements into hunt tests, field trials, obedience, herding, lure coursing, agility, tracking, and earth dog events. Limited registration prevents you from having registerable puppies through the AKC should your dog become bred or breed another.

Show Quality Dogs: The breeder will use their best judgment and the advice of other fanciers in evaluating the puppies as show quality. There is no guarantee that a puppy evaluated as "Show Quality" will be successful in the show ring as an adult and no warranties are made to that effect. The breeder encourage owners to participate in the sport of purebred dogs.

All expenses regarding the DOG/Bitch including: shipping of the animal, showing, handler fee, entry cost, advertising, proper care, veterinary fees, housing, lifting of a non-breeding contract or legal liabilities in owning the German Shorthaired Pointer are the sole responsibility of the BUYER or CO-OWNER at whose HOME THE ANIMAL RESIDES.

1. Breeder guarantees the above-mentioned dog to be in good health and sound temperament at the time of sale. Buyer may at his/her option and or expense take said dog to a licensed veterinarian of their choice within 4 Days for a health check. If dog is found to be in unsatisfactory health at that time the breeder shall:

    A.) Replace the dog with the next available like prospect or mutually agreeable animal provided the living dog and registration papers are returned.

2. Dog is purebred. Pedigree is correct and given at time of sale. Dog is able to be registered with AKC, form is given at time of sale unless withheld for reasons listed._______________ . Will be paid for and sent by seller Will be registered with AKC Animal Recovery Program.

3. The above-mentioned dog is guaranteed to be free of hereditary crippling/disabling defects by 24 months of age. Determination of what constitutes a hereditary defect is to be by the unanimous agreement of a veterinarian of the breeders choice. Costs of the opinion are to be assumed by the buyer:

      A.) Replace the dog with the next available like prospect or mutually agreeable animal, provided the live dog and registration papers are returned to the breeder within 2 months after discovery of said defect; or

      B.) $100.00 of purchase price refunded upon proof of neutering should buyer elect to keep the dog and the breeder approves.

4. Buyer agrees to: Annual veterinary check-ups, including Heartworm check. To keep all immunizations current according to AVMA guidelines to properly administer Heartworm preventatives; to provide adequate housing according to state law; to confine the animal in a fenced yard or kennel run and not kept on a chain. The animal shall not be allowed to roam. Should these conditions not be met by the seller the breeder may require return of the dog, sell will refund the purchase price less any expenses acquired by the seller for transportation and/or veterinary care that may be necessary as determined by the breeder.

5. If in the future the buyer finds himself/herself unable to keep the dog, he/she agrees to contact the breeder if needed to help find a home and either: Send the dog back to the breeder if unable to find a suitable home.

      A.) Return it to the breeder; the cost of transportation will be the responsibility of the buyer. On receipt of the dog, the breeder will endeavor to find a new home for the dog.  Any money received for the dog by the breeder will be returned to the buyer less the expenses incurred by the breeder in recovering and placing the dog.

      B.) Transfer the dog to a new owner who has been approved by the breeder. Such approval will not be unreasonable withheld, on condition that the new owner agrees in writing to be bound by the provisions of this contract.

6. The breeder is willing to give advice to the buyer in any matter concerning the well being of the dog. For the life of the dog.

7. At the age of 24months and no later than 36 months the buyer agrees to have the above mentioned dog x-rayed for hip dysphasia and the x-ray sent into the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) for evaluation. In the event the dog has hip dysphasia, the breeder had the right to take the dog back and have it x-rayed by a veterinarian of the breeder's choice. If at this time the final conclusion is that the dog does have hip dysphasia the breeder will replace or refund according to the conditions in #3 on page 1 & 2.

8. The buyer agrees not to breed the mentioned dog prior to its 2nd birthday unless preliminary hip x-rays have been taken and sent of OFA for evaluation. If the buyer breeds this dog before its 2nd birthday, and the dog comes back dysplastic no replacement or refund of any kind will be made and the dog must be spayed or neutered. The buyer further agrees to breed only to a dog registered with one of the recognized registries such as AKC. The dog must be of the same breed, OFA certified, of sound temperament and free of any majorKnown faults, disqualifying faults, or hereditary defects.

9. The buyer agrees Seller will Name the litter. Buyer will pick the Dog/Bitch Call Name. If buyer has a suitable name that can be used with Bogan or Ace High, Seller will consider the name.

10. Buyer agrees to not knowingly sell or dispose of any off spring of the above-mentioned dog to wholesalers, pet shops, or dog dealers. Failure to comply will result in the immediate forfeit of the above-mentioned dog.

11. Now other conditions, guarantees, or obligations concerning the sale of this puppy apply. The agreement may be modified or amended only in writing and signed by both parties. By signing below we agree that we have read, understand and will abide by all of the terms of this contract.
